Ashley Nadesan, the Horley Town striker who scored 92 goals in two seasons at the non-league club, has finished his trial at Millwall, after scoring for the club in an U21s match.
The young 21-year-old who works at McDonalds, earning around £200 a week, is being looked at by a number of clubs, including Norwich City, who he will shortly spend a trial period with.
Darren Lewis, his agent, speaking to the South London Press, said:
There is a whole queue of clubs looking at him – he is at Norwich next week; there is interest from Cambridge plus an open invitation from Crawley; and Brighton are watching him closely.
He also talks of the strengths of the young striker, and his similarities to one of the top players in the Premier League this season, Jamie Vardy.
He has movement, speed and technique and is 6ft 2in tall. He is not just a striker – he has also had to play for Horley in midfield, out wide and as a centre-back in some games. The reason people have compared him to Jamie Vardy is because he is very hard to track. Defenders can’t keep tabs on him.
Throughout the past year Nadesan has had multiple offers from many clubs in higher divisions, but due to the club being in a promotion battle at the time, he turned these down.
Norwich City is the next destination for Ashley Nadesan, and we’ll have to wait and see on how he does during his trial period.
