Crystal Palace manager Alan Pardew has spoken about on-loan Norwich striker Patrick Bamford’s temporary spell with the South-London side earlier this season.
It was well reported that Bamford ended the loan spell himself, having become fed up with his lack of game time. He was loaned to Norwich by Chelsea in January and has made two appearances for the Canaries so far.
Speaking to Goal , Pardew claimed that Bamford showed a lack of maturity in his departure.
He probably could have handled his departure better. Me and Patrick spoke about it. He knows there were a couple of errors. But that happens with young players.

The Englishman also claimed that he has no personal qualms with Bamford, but joked that he doesn’t want to see him score in Saturday’s game.
I had absolutely no problem with [Bamford], he’s a cracking lad. I look forward to seeing him on Saturday but hope he doesn’t score.
The Palace boss did wish Bamford the best for his future and said that he believes he can go on to have a great career.
He will have a great career. Patrick has a great chance, he has natural finishing skills.
Crystal Palace currently sit 16th in the Premier League, only three points above Norwich, which makes Saturday’s game even more crucial, as it could throw the Canaries back into the relegation scrap, or drag them out of it and place Palace in trouble.
