Norwich City are reportedly chasing Inter Milan centre-back Andrea Ranocchia to bolster their defensive ranks this transfer window.
It has been reported today that Norwich have had a 10 million euro bid accepted for Ranocchia and Inter Milan are pressuring the defender to accept the Premier League club’s offer which will give the club much-needed money.
The Italian defender has made over 150 appearances since joining in January 2011 but has found himself on the fringes of the first team this term having only made one league start this season.
The 27-year-old who is a former captain of the Serie A side and has a contract until 2019, would bring much needed experience and quality to a Norwich defence that has only kept two clean sheets so far this season.
However, the Canaries are not the only side that is said to be interested in Ranocchia with the player’s agent said to be in talks with Bologna as well.
If a deal was to happen then Ranocchia would become Norwich’s second signing of the January transfer window after Matt Jarvis’s loan deal became a permanent one last week.
