Norwich City crashed to a 3-0 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur with a very disappointing performance following last weekend’s win at Old Trafford.
It was not the Christmas present Norwich fans had been expecting with many Canaries heading to London full of hope. However, it was former loanee Canary, Harry Kane, who put Norwich to the sword with two first half goals followed by a late Tom Carroll effort that sent Norwich back to Norfolk with nothing to show for. It could have been even worse if not for the ever-improving Declan Rudd pulling off several world-class saves.
Norwich fans were less than pleased and made their feelings clear on Twitter after the game but felt that the team need to put this result behind them and focus on Aston Villa in three days time.
Unfortunately, our images are not working to give you a screen grab of the tweets but here is what they said:
Twitter: Disappointing but big chance to make it right against Villa. We dont beat them; we are in trouble. (@DanEmery07)
Pheobe praised Rudd on his excellent individual performance:
Twitter: Declan Rudd though, what class he was again today. Made some awesome saves. #ncfc (@langerz9)
Chris feels Norwich need reinforcements in defence in the transfer window:
Twitter: #NCFC MUST move on & bounce back against Villa. Every confidence in Alex Neil, just not our defence. OTBC! (@ChrisReevo)
Chris Goreham says the Aston Villa game is vital:
Twitter: Back to reality of #ncfc. That Villa games was always going to be big and now looks even more so. #canarycall now on @BBCNorfolk (@CGoreham)
Jacob isn’t too downhearted after the result:
Twitter: We knew that we probably wouldn’t get anything today. Villa is a must win game, focus on that. #NCFC #canarycall (@jacobsinky)
Richard isn’t too downhearted but has concerns with Norwich’s defence.
Twitter: Lost to a decent side today, but conceding three goals is a worry. Our failure to kept teams out is heaping on the pressure #ncfc (@RichardBalls)
