Of all the games played at this point of the year, the Boxing Day fixture holds an almost universal special place for football fans.
The novelty of having what a feels like a bonus weekend fixture is a wondrous thing, with many using it as a chance to get out of the house for a few hours, take in some fresh air and break up the period of inordinately large food consumption.
