Steven Naismith admitted it was nice to hear the Norwich fans sing about him during Everton’s 1-1 draw at Carrow Road on Saturday.
Norwich had a £8m bid rejected during last summer’s transfer window and was an unused substitute as Canary fans chanted “Steven Naismith, we’re coming for you” as he warmed up on the touchline.
Since scoring a wonderful hat-trick against Chelsea, it has been a frustrating time for the Scottish international this season having not played a Premier League match since October. With goals a major concern for Norwich, the Norfolk side could turn their attention back to Naismith when the transfer window re-opens next month.

Naismith went on to say that it was nice to feel wanted by the Norwich fans:
It’s funny and nice to hear when someone does that but it’s just carrying on from when they had a bid rejected in the summer.
From the summer, I’ve not given it much more thought to be honest but it was funny. A few of the boys were mentioning it after the game.
However, he refused to be drawn on speculation linking him with a move elsewhere and confirmed he wants to get back into manager, Roberto Martinez’s thoughts.
It’s tough, because you’re not getting the chance to go out there and make a statement about trying to get back in the team.
But football can change very quickly and all I am focused on is getting in the team at Everton.
