Alex Neil is waiting on news of the severity of Matt Jarvis’ knee injury, after the winger was forced to come off at half-time in the 2-1 defeat to Manchester City.
Jarvis was one of the Canaries’ stand out players while on the pitch, that saw the Citizens control most of the ball. He forced a smart save from England ‘keeper Joe Hart but could not return for the second half after a collision with Yaya Toure, and was replaced with England under-21 international Nathan Redmond.
Since joining on loan on Deadline Day, Jarvis has impressed for the Canaries, linking up especially well with Robbie Brady on the left wing. Two goals early on in his Norwich career against West Brom and Bournemouth put him in the fan’s good books and manager Alex Neil knows he has the potential to help lift the team from their current dip in form.
He just went in for a tackle in the first half and I think opened up his knee a little bit so we’re hoping that is not going to be too bad as he has been excellent for us.
Nobody is sure yet how serious the injury is, but fans, staff and players alike will be hoping the 29-year-old is fit and ready for the massive fixture against Swansea this Saturday.
