Ex-Norwich City midfielder Andrew Johnson, who played over 60 games for the club between 1992 and 1997, has said to the Birmingham Mail that The Canaries recruited an “exceptional player” when they signed Graham Dorrans from West Brom in the summer.
As well as playing for Norwich, Johnson also made over 140 appearances for West Brom so says that while he was sad to see the Scottish international midfielder leave The Hawthorns, but was glad to see him join Alex Neil’s side.
I was immensely sad to see him go, he’s an exceptional player. I was a big fan of his. But I was glad to see him go to Norwich because I know what a good club he has joined.

Johnson, who was capped 15 times by Wales during his playing days, also spoke about the game this weekend where his two former clubs will clash in the Premier League, and said that West Brom need to be careful as they could well face a backlash after Norwich were humiliated by the 6-2 defeat to a Newcastle United side that up until that point had failed to win a league game all season.
I wouldn’t want to face Norwich after that 6-2 loss at Newcastle because I think there will have been a few smacked bottoms and a few rants and raves behind the scenes.
