Louis Thompson, who is on loan at Swindon Town, has returned to Norwich for treatment on a knee injury, as reported by the BBC.
Thompson had a scan on the injured knee, and the damage was deemed significant enough for him to return to the Canaries for treatment.
This is commonplace for Premier League sides, who like to have full control over the rehabilitation of their loanees.
The BBC report that the midfielder will be out for between two to three weeks, after the injury got worse.

Swindon had been monitoring Thompson’s knee, trying to keep him available for selection, however, they were unable to do this successfully.
Swindon currently sit in 19th place in League One, and are without a host of players due to both injury and suspension, so losing Thompson will be a blow for them.
Norwich paid around £600,000 to take Thompson from Swindon in 2014, and immediately loaned him back to the Robins.
