Belgian Vadis Odjidja-Ofoe has decided against extending his loan spell with Championship side Rotherham United to instead rejoin Norwich.
The Millers were reportedly interested in extending the loan deal for the midfielder, even after the departure of manager Steve Evans on Monday. However, the player decided against the move and instead wants to fight for his place in the starting XI at Carrow Road.
The Rotherham caretaker manager Eric Black said that:
“Vadis expressed his desire to return to Norwich City following the conclusion of his loan which is a decision we fully respect. We would like to thank him for his contribution whilst with Rotherham United and wish him well for the rest of the season.”
Odjidja-Ofoe joined Norwich in the summer of 2014 from Club Brugge for a reported fee of over £4.5m. He struggled to force his way into the side before an injury sidelined him for most of the season.
To try and impress Alex Neil, Odjidja-Ofoe joined Rotherham on loan. While at the Millers Vadis managed to score a penalty against Cardiff City and made 4 appearances in a Rotherham shirt.
