Dwight Gayle is the latest player to be linked to the Canaries, courtesy of The Mirror and The Sun. The 24-year-old Englishman is currently a Crystal Palace man but found his chances limited last season, only made 25 appearances in the league, 14 of those from the bench. Regardless he managed five goals and one assist last term and seven goals the season before that.
Gayle started his career in the youth ranks at Arsenal and has subsequently played for Dagenham & Redbridge and Peterborough, before joining Palace for a reported £4.5m in 2013.
Norwich have previously been linked with his teammate Glenn Murray, but that rumour has petered out over recent weeks, with Gayle the latest striker linked to be the one to boost Alex Neil’s strike force.
Gary Hooper has been linked with Sheffield Wednesday on a season long loan and Carlton Morris joined Hamilton Academicals on loan Monday; so there are definitely spaces opening up for newcomers to boost City’s firepower.
Could Dwight Gayle, known for his pace and energy, be a good capture for City?
