Canaries Linked With Man City Striker

Norwich City have been linked with a move for Manchester City’s John Guidetti after his contract ran out at the club.

23 year old Guidetti spent last season at Scottish champions Celtic where he bagged 15 goals in 35 games. Since that loan deal though Guidetti has made it clear that he doesn’t want to make the move permanent after stating ‘goals scored in Scotland don’t matter’.

Having been one of Man City’s stand out performers in the youth setup Guidetti has found it difficult to get into the first team and has made just 1 appereance for the club.

Guidetti’s classy performances for Celtic means that he is a wanted man with Norwich, Everton and Watford all linked with the Swede.

Guidetti wants this move to England after being dropped from his national team having scored 11 goals in 10 games for Celtic and also feels there is no competitive edge in Scotland. Guidetti started well at Celtic but ended the season on a sour note with Ronny Deila not playing the youngster on a regular basis.

It’s clear that Guidetti has huge potential having showed real class in the development stages at City and also in Scotland but it will take a big step up to excel in the Premier League.
