Norwich City have released 6 players from the club today including Cuellar and some other experienced players.
Some of the players who have been been released had already let the fans know via their Twitter accounts but the official announcement was made today.
The six players who have are, Javier Garrido, Carlos Cuellar, Luciano Becchio, Mark Bunn, Sam Kelly and Kyle Callan-McFadden.
It was inportanht for Norwich City to get rid of the players that can no longer contribute to the team as City approach a big season in the Premier League after the Play-Off delights at Wembley.
Becchio never lived up to the hype that he brought from Leeds while Garrido and Bunn have both been left frustrated with their lack of game time this year after a successful few seasons under Chris Hughton.
Cuellar also departs after playing just 8 times for the Canaries including an own goal on his debut. Kelly and Callan-McFadden are two players who have been released after their time with the development squad.
Alex Neil had only kind words to describe all six of these players though and said ‘It’s important to register their efforts and support to the club this year, when at times it was frustrating for them personally that they weren’t playing and involved. But they’re all good lads and we wish them all the best for the future.’
From everyone here at TheCarrowCrowd we would like to wish these six Canaries a successful and happy journey wherever it may be from here.
