Robert Huth:
Stoke City manager Mark Hughes has given the green light to Robert Huth to leave the club on a loan basis.
This news won’t come to the surprise of Stoke fans as he has only played 10 minutes of Premier League football in the past 14 months after picking up a serious knee injury which has seriously blighted his career.
Despite the evident fitness issues it has not put Norwich City off Robert Huth as they look to bring the German in on loan; Reading and Fulham have also shown interest.
Luciano Becchio:
Luciano Becchio seemed to be getting his career back on track at Rotherham but a heel injury meant his loan was cut short and had to return to Carrow Road.
Since then there have been serious links with a return back to the club that cherishes him dearly – Leeds United. Yorkshire Evening Post’s chief football writer Phil Hay reported on the possible transfer a few days ago which evidently got the Leeds’ fans’ excited.
Despite the strong links Leeds’ owner Massimo Cellino has ruled out the move and said “We love Becchio and made a big mistake when we let him go but now it’s too late”
“He is not the same player and we are not the same team, we need to move on and look to the future”
It looks like Becchio might have to spend a bit longer at Norwich City where he has not found his feet and is yet to score a goal for the Canaries.
Nathan Redmond:
This rumour has been going on for some time; a few months ago it seemed that Nathan Redmond to Liverpool was a certainty, now the rumour has died and it seems Liverpool may look elsewhere for their attacking flair.
Liverpool have been linked with PSG winger Ezequiel Lavezzi but the Argentine would demand a wage of 4 million euros a year which makes Lavezzi a considerably more expensive player than the young Redmond.
Norwich seem to have a secure financial situation though so it is very unlikely Norwich City will sell one of their star players in a pivotal part of the season.
Liverpool might be waiting a bit longer for Redmond – Norwich won’t be letting go of him too easily.
Lewis Grabban:
AFC Bounemouth has reportedly had an approach for Lewis Grabban dismissed by Norwich City.
The sun newspaper reported ‘…Bournemouth asked Norwich if they could loan back Lewis Grabban with an option to buy him in the summer…’ adding ‘… the offer was dismissed out of hand by new boss, Alex Neil…’
