Norwich City Fixtures Date Gives Clement Next Planning Point

Norwich City fixtures for the 2026/27 Championship season will be released at 12pm on Thursday, June 25.

That gives Philippe Clement and Canaries supporters a clear date for the next major marker of the summer.

Clement already has pre-season work, recruitment decisions and World Cup involvement around parts of his squad to manage. The fixture list will now sharpen the picture around August and the first block of league matches.

Norwich City Fixture Date Gives Clement Next Planning Point

The EFL has confirmed that Championship, League One and League Two fixtures for 2026/27 will be released at midday on Thursday, June 25.

The league season is scheduled to begin from Friday, August 14, with the opening weekend running across August 14-16.

For Norwich, that matters because the club are moving through a busy early-summer reset.

Sam Field has returned on a permanent deal, Bruno Alves has arrived from Cruzeiro and Clement’s squad will soon know exactly where the competitive campaign begins.

ReadNorwich has already looked at why Philippe Clement’s Norwich City rebuild has a clear early shape, and the fixture release will add structure to that work.

The fixture list will also frame the first real supporter debates of the season.

Will Norwich start at Carrow Road? How demanding will the opening month look? Where will the early away trips land before television selections start moving dates?

Clement does not need the fixtures to know the scale of the task.

Norwich finished short of the top-six conversation last season, and the next campaign has to carry clearer promotion intent.

Thursday’s release will not decide that push, but it will give it shape.
