My All-Time Norwich City XI – Part Six: The Final Team

After much deliberation, my all-time Norwich City is now complete. As a bonus, we will also decide who will be the best all-time manager to lead this team to glory!

Goalkeeper

Loads of good options, we were spoilt for choice in fact, but I plumped for the one and only Bryan Gunn.

Defence

At left-back, we have the always consistent Adam Drury. Our centre-back pairing is the solidity of Steve Bruce combined with the Germanic delight of Timm Klose.

Finally to add a bit of spark to the back four we have Max Aarons.

Midfield

Midfield was the hardest call with the Norwich City XI and potentially the most controversial.

Darren Huckerby gives us wonder on the wing while Jeremy Goss and Alex Tettey patrol the central midfield.

To finish this off (don’t blame me, blame the websites I looked through) we can technically add Emi Buendia on the right wing for some creative magic.

Strikers

To top off the all-time Norwich City XI, we went for charm and bumhousery as the pure fabulousness of Teemu Pukki combined with the dark arts and mischief that comes with Grant Holt.

The gaffer

Choosing someone to lead this Norwich City XI is the tough one.

Phillipe Clement has performed miracles in a short space of time but the long term achievements of Nigel Worthington, Alex Neill and Paul Lambert (despite his later defection that arguably was karma for how we yoinked him from Colchester) shouldn’t be dismissed.

With all that I can’t help the mental image that I get every time I see Leeds play on Match of the Day, hum the Coop and Duck rap to myself or watch Pedro Pascal in various films he appears in.

Yes my all-time Norwich City XI is lead by the magnetic charisma of Daniel Farke. I will not elaborate further as I don’t feel I need to.

Over to you…

Inevitably when choosing an all-time Norwich City XI there are going to be exclusions. Weighing it up I feel my picks feel like a team that might actually work when gelled together.

But what do you think? Is this all-time Norwich City XI a culinary masterpiece worthy of Heston Blumenthal or an example of my actual cooking (that has been compared to the remnants of a night out on Prince of Wales Road).

Please tell us your choices as I would love to know your reasoning and why I am wrong.
