Tottenham have reportedly laid the groundwork over a summer move for Norwich defender Max Aarons.
According to Football Insider, Tottenham have held extensive negotiations with Norwich over a potential transfer at the end of the season.
Aarons has started 23 of Norwich’s 25 Premier League games at right-back this season. He also recently won a penalty against Tottenham as Norwich lost 2-1 to Spurs away from home. Ondrej Duda rolled the ball into the box for Aarons to latch onto, only for Ryan Sessegnon to clip him on the way – with Teemu Pukki scoring from the spot.
The defender was named EFL Young Player of the Season for his performances in the Championship for Norwich last term. Aarons provided two goals and six assists from defence as Norwich romped to the Championship title to secure promotion to the Premier League.
