Norwich have reportedly been holding informal talks with veteran midfielder Alex Tettey over a new contract at Carrow Road.
According to The Athletic, Norwich want to keep Tettey at the club for another season and are trying to pin him down to an extended deal.
Tettey is out of contract and due to become a free agent at the end of the season, but Norwich want to convince him to stay in Norfolk for another 12 months.
He joined Norwich from Ligue 1 side Rennes in 2012 and has made well over 200 appearances for the club – across all competitions, including the Premier League and the Championship.
This season, Tettey has started 17 Premier League matches and came off the bench in a further two. He has also worn the captain’s armband in the absence of Grant Hanley and Timm Klose at times, showing his importance to the club on and off the pitch.
