Norwich are reportedly preparing to make a move for Reading forward Danny Loader at the end of the season.
According to Telegraph journalist Mike McGrath, both Norwich and Wolves are willing to wait until the summer to snap him up from the Championship club.

He claims that they were both interested in Loader during the January window, but could now land him for training compensation – with his contract set to expire.

Norwich could be preparing for a return to the Championship with this move, as they currently sit seven points adrift of safety with 13 games left to play.
Loader, 19, has already played 28 Championship games for Reading, nine of which were starts. This means that, despite his young age, he has experience in the second tier and could be a player Norwich can develop.
The Independent claimed that Man United made an approach for Teemu Pukki in January, which Norwich swiftly rejected. This suggests that there could be further interest in the Finnish international if Norwich are relegated down to the Championship this season. If Norwich were to sell their top scorer, with 11 goals in the Premier League, they would lose their biggest goal threat at the top end of the pitch.
This means that a move for Loader in the summer could be a smart piece of business from the Canaries, as they could reinvest any money from the potential sale of Pukki back into a young prospect. Norwich could then have a Championship-ready striker with future sell-on potential in their squad, showing off their forward-thinking approach to the transfer market.
