Manchester United reportedly made contact with Norwich over a potential deadline day deal to sign striker Teemu Pukki.
According to The Independent, Pukki is one of a number of strikers United have been targeting as they look to replace the injured Marcus Rashford before the end of the window.
The report claims that Norwich made it clear to United that Pukki is not available at all and will not be making the switch to Old Trafford.

It would be a shock to see Norwich let go of one of their star players on deadline day as they face a relegation battle in the second-half of the season. The Canaries are six points adrift of safety and Pukki is Norwich’s top scorer with 11 league strikes, more than any United player aside from Marcus Rashford.
Pukki has 11 goals and three assists, after scoring 30 for Norwich as they won the Championship title last season. This highlights how important he is to Norwich and why it would have been a shock if they allowed him to go. Instead, they rejected United’s interest and appear set to keep their star forward for the rest of the season at least.
Norwich have also added to their squad this month, signing Ondrej Duda, Lukas Rupp, Melvin Sitti and Sam McCallum – with the latter two heading back out on loan. Daniel Farke could be hoping that it is enough to get them out of the bottom three and avoid relegation back to the Championship.
