Tottenham are reportedly set to hand Jose Mourinho transfer funds in January, but, the new Spurs boss is reportedly reluctant to spend big next month.
Spurs are looking to improve their defence, and are reportedly looking at deals for Norwich’s Aarons and West Bromwich Albion’s Nathan Ferguson.

Scouts have been sent to watch the pair in action, but it is not yet known whether or not a move will be made in January.
This is because according to The Mail, Mourinho is reportedly waiting until the summer to make big moves for players, especially with key players such as Christian Eriksen departing the club at the end of the season.
With Norwich reportedly set to demand a high fee for Aarons, any move may have to wait until the summer.

The Canaries see Aarons as a key prospect, so they will not let him gon on the cheap.
It would also harm their survival chances if they were to sell one of the key members of their defence in January.
Therefore, it looks likely this deal will happen over the summer if it is to take place.
