Former Norwich City midfielder James Maddison made his senior debut for England on Thursday as they beat Montenegro 7-0.
According to Coventry Live, Norwich will now receive a fee of £1m from Leicester as part of the deal which saw him move to the King Power.
The report claims that Coventry will take in £100k of that money, as Norwich – of course – signed Maddison from Coventry as a teenager.

Maddison becomes the first player to play, or have played, for Norwich to get on the pitch for England since John Ruddy in 2012 and it comes as no surprise to any Norwich fans! The midfielder was sensational for Norwich throughout his time at the club and has been a star for Leicester in the Premier League over the last 18 months or so.
An extra £900k will surely come as a massive boost for Norwich ahead of the January transfer window, given that it is more than the club spent on permanent transfers over the summer. Stuart Webber could use the added funds to bring in an experienced centre-back to aid Norwich’s defensive woes in the Premier League, are they currently sit bottom of the table.
