Norwich have joined a host of Premier League clubs in the race to land Metz forward Habib Diallo in January.
According to Team Talk, via The EDP, Chelsea, Tottenham, Leicester and Newcastle are all also interested in the striker.
The report claims that Norwich have sent scouts to watch Diallo play and are considering a January swoop for the seven-goal forward.
Diallo has scored seven goals in 11 Ligue 1 appearances this season, after netting 26 league goals in the second tier to earn Metz promotion in the 2018/19 campaign.
READ NORWICH VERDICT

Whilst it would be great if Norwich were able to sign a prolific international striker to support Teemu Pukki in January, it seems very unrealistic. Norwich’s biggest concerns heading into the January window are in defence and midfield, which is where the club should be focussing their efforts.
This means that a striker should be bottom of their list of priorities, with funds already limited due to a lack of investment at board level. Stuart Webber has stressed that Norwich will not panic buy, which suggests that a £10m deal for Diallo is out of the question for the time being – despite him appearing to be a quality player on paper.
