READ NORWICH VERDICT
James is a terrific player in his own right, but signing him may have stunted the progress of Todd Cantwell. The Welsh forward plays predominantly off the left, which is where Cantwell has shined for Norwich this season.
If Norwich signed James then Cantwell may not have been given his chance to stake a claim for his place in the squad. This means that his arrival would have meant Norwich fans would not have been able to see the best of Cantwell, a product of the club’s academy system.
