Tottenham are considering a potential January transfer window swoop for Norwich right-back Max Aarons.
According to The Daily Mail, Tottenham are weighing up a bid for Aarons or West Brom fullback Nathan Ferguson as they look to strengthen their defence.
The report claims that Spurs want to inject more energy into their fullback options and have identified Aarons as a target.

Can Norwich afford to let Aarons go in January?

No. Not unless Spurs offer an outrageous amount of money for him. Aarons is a crucial member of Norwich’s team and Daniel Farke will need all of his players available in order to avoid relegation back down to the Championship.
Whilst Sam Byram has proven himself to be a more than capable back-up to Aarons, losing him would be a huge blow for Norwich. Aarons is vital to how Norwich want to play, in that he is a competent defender but also able to break up the pitch with pace and create chances with crosses from the right.
If, however, Norwich are relegated, Tottenham could swoop in and make it difficult for the Canaries to reject their advances. Regardless, a January move is surely out of the question, for now, given what it would mean for Norwich for the rest of the campaign.
