Manchester City are set to be boosted by the return of defender John Stones for their trip to Norwich this weekend.
According to TalkSport, Stones is poised to return from injury to make his first Premier League appearance of the season at Carrow Road.
This comes following a knee injury for Aymeric Laporte, who was named in last year’s Premier League Team of the Season.

Although Stones is, of course, a great defender in his own right, this news could come as a boost to Norwich’s Teemu Pukki.
Stones is a defender renowned for his constant attempts to play out from the back and play risky balls in his own defensive third, which could play into Pukki’s hands.
Pukki consistently closes down defenders and will look to give Stones as little time as possible to make a pass or dribble out from the back. This could lead to mistakes from the England international, giving Pukki the chance to cause Manchester City problems at the top end of the pitch for Norwich.
