Emi Buendia has vowed that Norwich will fight this season, following their 4-1 loss to Liverpool at Anfield.
The Argentine midfielder says that he likes the spirit in the group hopes that they can continue to grow and compete.
Speaking to The Athletic, Buendia said this:
I like our spirit. The club said they would not do anything crazy with the money this summer. They would not set out to do what Fulham did last year. Aston Villa have spent a huge amount. It is a different perspective. (Aston) Villa have said ‘We need X, Y, Z’ and did it.
We trust in the group that has taken us this far.
In the Championship, we lost only six games and took 96 points. Do not underestimate how difficult that is.
We know we need to grow but we feel strong and we will fight, believe me.

Is Buendia Norwich’s most important player?
Yes. His performances down the right for Norwich last season were underrated, given that he failed to make the official Championship Team of the Season – despite creating the second most chances in the league and landing 20 direct goal contributions.
He was also in the top 10 for tackles completed in the Championship, showing the incredible defensive side to his game – as well as being a talented playmaker in midfield.
His hard-work off the ball and his ability on it make him Norwich’s most important player – which was also highlighted by the fact the club failed to win a single game in which he did not feature last season.
