Norwich have agreed a deal with Sevilla to sign Ibrahim Amadou on a permanent basis if they can survive in the Premier League next season.
According to Spanish outlet AS, Norwich will sign Amadou for €10m upon the end of his loan spell if he plays a certain number of matches and the club retain their place in the top-flight.
The report claims that Sevilla wanted the deal to be mandatory regardless of how Norwich fared, but have comprised to allow the Canaries to back out of the move if they are relegated.

Is the arrival of Amadou a show of ambition from Norwich?
Yes, it is. If Norwich can avoid relegation next season, they will break their transfer record – assuming he plays the requisite number of games – to sign Amadou on a permanent basis.

According to TransferLeague, Norwich’s most expensive signing to date has been Timm Klose from Wolfsburg for £8.5m, meaning the £9.2m fee for Amadou would become the club’s biggest outlay in their history.
The 26-year-old, Amadou, can play as a defensive midfielder or a centre-back and was made captain of Lille by current Leeds boss Marcelo Bielsa earlier in his career – highlighting his leadership qualities
Norwich have spent – according to TransferLeague – £750k on permanent first-team signings this summer, with the fee covering Sam Byram’s move from West Ham to Norfolk.
The club have also signed Ralf Fahrmann and Patrick Roberts on loan, along with Josip Drmic on a free transfer from Borussia Monchengladbach.
Webber being prepared to break Norwich’s transfer record on Amadou, albeit that the move would not happen until next summer, is a tangible show of ambition from the club and says that they are serious about being in the Premier League.
