Norwich City have submitted an offer to Sevilla as they look to land French midfielder Ibrahim Amadou.
According to Yahoo Sport FR, via Get French Football News, Norwich have placed a bid that would see Amadou join the club on loan, with the option to sign him permanently at the end of the season.
The report claims that Sevilla now have a decision to make, as they weigh up Norwich’s proposal.

Norwich appear to be pushing hard for a deal to sign Amadou, which suggests that the club may be in the market for a defensive midfielder before the transfer window closes this Thursday at 5pm.
But is he better than Norwich’s current holding midfielder? Tom Trybull ended last season as Farke’s first-choice in the position and has been the go-to throughout pre-season.

Amadou played 21 times for Sevilla in all competitions last season and was given a rating of 7.21/10 by WhoScored when deployed as a holding midfielder.
Trybull, on the other hand, was rated 6.95/10 for his performances in midfield for Norwich as they club claimed the Championship title.
Given that Amadou was playing in La Liga for Sevilla, whilst Trybull was competing in the Championship, it would appear as though the former has an edge of the German enforcer.
Would he be an upgrade on Trybull? It seems as though he would, with his top-flight experience and slightly more mobile nature in the holding role. However, Trybull is yet to be tested in the Premier League and the arrival of Amadou could force him to up his game.
Amadou is also capable of playing as a centre-back, which may be of use to Daniel Farke – considering Christoph Zimmermann, Timm Klose and Grant Hanley are all either injured or just coming back from knocks.
