Norwich fans react to being linked with a loan move for Chalobah

Norwich City are one of two clubs said to be looking into a potential loan deal for Watford midfielder Nathaniel Chalobah.

Football Insider are reporting that Sheffield United and Norwich are both eyeing up loan swoops for Chalobah, who could leave Watford in the coming days.

Following the news, some Norwich fans have taken to Twitter to voice their opinions on the mooted arrival of Chalobah.

Alex Murray thinks that Chalobah would add depth to Daniel Farke’s current midfield options.

Thomas Kerrison says that it would fit the bill, perhaps referring to Norwich’s targets this summer.

Lewis Nicholson is enjoying the links to Chalobah, praising the level of quality he possesses.

Nick Deal also believes that signing Chalobah on loan would make sense.

READ NORWICH VERDICT

Chalobah has the quality to play at Premier League, backed up by his £5m move to Watford and his inclusion in the England squad last year – making his debut against Spain in the Nations League.

However, he has only played 13 Premier League matches in the last two years, due to injury, which would be a concern if Norwich brought him over to Carrow Road.

Norwich would be risking him picking up more injuries throughout the season, although he would be an excellent addition if he could stay fit.

In the three games he played as a defensive midfielder last season, WhoScored gave Chalobah a 6.25/10 rating for his performances – a solid return given his injury problems during his time in London.
