Should Norwich back out of the race and let the three Championship sides battle it out to sign Rhodes?

Yes. Although he would be a decent addition to Norwich’s squad, the last thing the club wants is an auction heading into the final few days of the transfer window.
Rhodes would be coming in to compete with Teemu Pukki, Dennis Srbeny and Josip Drmic in the Premier League, after spending last season on loan at Carrow Road. He played second fiddle to Pukki in Norfolk, but still managed to score nine goals in all competitions.
If the three Championship sides make bids for Rhodes, it could cause Sheffield Wednesday to up their valuation of the forward, which would leave Norwich to question whether or not it is worth it.
However, it will be interesting to see how the situation develops in the coming days and what sort of price Sheffield Wednesday demand for the former Blackburn and Huddersfield hitman.
If Norwich are able to sign Rhodes for a reasonable price, it would be a solid signing. If Sheffield Wednesday ask for a ludicrous fee, they should leave the Championship sides to scrap for his signature.
