Ipswich Town midfielder Andre Dozzell hasn’t travelled with the squad to face Burton Albion in this weekend’s League One opener amid heavy links with East Anglian rivals Norwich City.
According to Ipswich writer Andy Warren on Twitter, the early indications are that Dozzell won’t feature for Paul Lambert’s side:
Twitter: Hearing that Andre Dozzell has not travelled with the #itfc squad for today’s game. Will find out more later (@AndyWarren_)
Talks have been held between both clubs and if the 20-year-old is left out, it could be a suggestion that a deal is either close to completion or already done.
Ipswich supporters have reacted quite badly to the idea of Dozzell jumping ship to Carrow Road:

The midfielder has represented England at every age level from U16 to U20 and is certainly a prospect for the future after four years in and around the Blues’ first-team set-up.
