Football League pundit Darren Bent has urged Norwich to sign Leeds United midfielder Kalvin Phillips this summer.
Bent says that he thinks Sheffield United or Norwich will make a move for Phillips, who has been heavily linked with a Premier League switch over the last few weeks.
Norwich have been touted with interest in Phillips earlier in the transfer window, but no concrete offers materialised from the links.
Speaking to Football Insider, Bent said this:
I’m a big fan of Kalvin Phillips, I think he’s brilliant.
He is too good for the Championship and deserves to be playing in the Premier League. He was probably Leeds’ best player last season and one of the best in the division.

I can’t see him going to Aston Villa now, as they’ve brought in two new defensive midfielders and I can’t see them signing a third, even though it’s such an important position these days.
I would love to see him in the Premier League this season, and he’d be brilliant for one of the two other new boys, Sheffield United and Norwich. I can see one of them getting him. It would need to be a big bid to get him this late in the day.
Phillips was one of the standout players during the 2018/19 Championship campaign and earned himself a place in the Team of the Season, alongside Norwich stars Max Aarons, Teemu Pukki and Jamal Lewis.
Norwich have only spent £750k on permanent transfers this summer, on Sam Byram, and are unlikely to spend big on Phillips before the end of the window next week.
