Norwich City have officially confirmed that Nelson Oliveira has left the club to join AEK Athens.

Oliveira has departed on a permanent deal, after three years at Carrow Road following his move from Portuguese giants Benfica in 2016.

He signed a four-year deal upon his arrival, with Norwich selling him a year before the end of his initial contract.

The Portuguese international enjoyed an impressive first season with Norwich, scoring 15 goals, despite only starting 20 games, in all competitions.

However, he fell out with Norwich head coach Daniel Farke on the opening day of the 2017/18 season as he scored against Fulham and pointed to the name on the back of his shirt right in front of the dugout.

He scored eight goals that season, before being excluded from the squad for the 2018/19 campaign.

Will Norwich stay up next season?
