Wigan and Burnley both chasing move for Norwich goalkeeper Jon McCracken

WIgan and Burnley are both battling it out to sign Norwich City goalkeeper Jon McCracken, according to Football Insider.

The young Scot is currently enjoying a trial spell with Wigan after having one at Burnley earlier this month, with both sides keen on a permanent deal.

The two sides see McCracken as a solid backup option, with Burnley potentially using him in the U23 setup, whilst Wigan see him as a solid third or fourth choice goalie.

The youngster is ready to seek regular first team football, after moving to Norwich from Hamilton Academical back in 2016.

He was part of several matchday squads last season but did not make a first-team appearance for Daniel Farke’s side.

The goalkeeper impressed for Norwich’s development squad last season in the Premier League 2, and has attracted interest from several clubs including Newcastle, Burnley and Wigan.

McCracken is highly rated by many at Norwich, but could be on his way out of Carrow Road.
