Norwich City manager Daniel Farke has delivered numerous injury updates to EDP journalist Paddy Davitt.

The Canaries played their first pre-season friendly on Sunday and were held to a 2-2 draw with Arminia Bielefeld. Dennis Srbeny and Josip Drmic netted the two goals for the Premier League side.

However, it was not all good news for Norwich, and they were left with some injury concerns to ponder.

Ben Godfrey and Louis Thompson were both forced off early on, prompting fears that the pair – especially the former – would be sidelined for an extended period of time.

However, in conversation with the EDP’s Davitt, Farke has addressed the condition of his players. Godfrey has not sustained any ligament damage or breaks despite being seen in a protective boot following the knock.

Promising right-back Thompson, too, will not be out of action for too long. Davitt reports that he will miss ‘a few weeks’, while Drmic and Kenny McLean have minor knocks.

Farke did disclose information on two other possible concerns, though. Midfield duo Alexander Tettey and Mario Vrancic are both understood to be nursing calf injuries and will miss at least a week’s worth of pre-season.
