Preston confirm accepted bid for Norwich target Callum Robinson

Preston North End have confirmed they have accepted a bid for Norwich City target Callum Robinson.

The Preston winger had previously been linked with a move to the Canaries, with Norwich reportedly making a £6 million bid for the winger.

However, Preston denied that any bid had been made for the former Aston Villa youth prospect.

Now however, Preston have confirmed they have accepted a bid for Robinson from an unnamed Premier League side.

In a statement, Preston said:

Preston North End can confirm they have accepted a bid from a Premier League club for forward Callum Robinson.

The player has been given permission to leave the team’s Irish training camp in order to discuss personal terms and undertake a medical ahead of a proposed move.

There will be no further comment from the club at this time.

Robinson netted twelve times for former Canaries’ boss Alex Neil’s side last season, despite only making 27 appearances due to a hamstring injury.

The winger is now an Irish international, who has been capped eight times by his country despite playing for England at youth level.
