The club have revealed that Zimmermann suffered the injury over the summer and that he has already had surgery on his knee, in London.

Zimmermann is now set to be on the sidelines for four-to-six weeks. This means that he will miss the entirety of pre-season and likely be out for the start of the Premier League campaign.
The German defender signed a new four-year deal earlier this week, after his starring role in Norwich’s promotion to the top-flight.
He played played 45 games in all competitions for Norwich last season and was captain for the majority of the second-half of the campaign, lifting the Championship trophy alongside Grant Hanley at Villa Park.
