Emi Buendia pens new Norwich contract

Emi Buendia has put pen to paper on a new contract at Norwich City.

The diminutive attacker has signed a five-year deal at the club just one season after arriving at Carrow Road.

Buendia enjoyed an exceptional maiden campaign in English football and was a crucial part of Daniel Farke’s team.

The playmaker operated on the right-hand side of a 4-2-3-1 shape and turned in numerous impressive displays to help Norwich secure an unlikely return to the Premier League, as they secured promotion as champions.

Farke has seen the club tie several key first-team players down to new and improved contracts in recent weeks, with the Canaries rewarding those who aided them in their climb back to the top flight.

Buendia, who arrived last year from La Liga outfit Getafe, has penned a deal that is set to run until the summer of 2024 and will now gear up for life in the Premier League with his side.
