FC Metz midfielder Vincent Thill has rejected a move to Norwich in favour of joining Ligue 2 side Orleans on loan.
According to L’Equipe, via Get French Football News, Thill rejected both Norwich and Vitesse to remain in France next season.
The report claims that he is set to sign for Orleans on a season-long loan, with no option for them to buy him permanently at the end of the campaign.
Norwich were interested in a deal for Thill, which would have likely seen him link up with the under-23 side at Carrow Road, but he is now poised for regular first-team football with Orleans in France.
Thill has already been capped 23 times by Luxembourg at international level, despite only being 19. He scored 12 goals in 28 league games on loan to Pau last season.
The Canaries have made two first-team signings so far this summer, bringing in Patrick Roberts on loan from Manchester City and Josip Drmic on a free transfer from Borussia Monchengladbach.
