Norwich City have reportedly dissuaded Crystal Palace from bidding for defender Max Aarons, with the Canaries having stood firm over keeping the full-back at Carrow Road.
Palace look set to lose right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka to Manchester United in the coming days, and reports had linked them with Aarons as the ideal replacement for the England youth international.
Aarons impressed during his debut season in senior football, with the defender enjoying a breakthrough campaign in the Championship, being named in the Championship Team of the Season.

With Palace eyeing a move to bring the 19-year old to Selhurst Park this summer, Norwich dug in their heels, wanting to keep the promising starlet in Norfolk.
Now it seems that the club’s plan has worked, with the Eagles having turned their attention toward Atalanta defender Timothy Castagne.
Palace were reportedly keeping tabs on Castagne as an alternative to Aarons, but according to the printed edition of The Mirror as cited in a report from HITC, the Eagles are now turning their full attention to bringing the Belgian to South London.
This will be a relief to Norwich ahead of their return to the Premier League, with manager Daniel Farke keen to keep his star players for the upcoming campaign.
