Celtic are set to beat Norwich to the signing of Motherwell midfielder David Turnbull, according to BBC Sport.
The Scottish midfielder is set to pen a four-year contract at Celtic Park, having decided to join the Hoops over the Canaries, despite the newly promoted Premier League side appearing favourites to land his signature.
Celtic had previously been believed to have pulled out of negotiations after an agreement between the club and Turnbull’s representatives couldn’t be reached, with a £3.25million bid having been accepted by the board at Fir Park.
However, now the young starlet has seemingly pulled a U-turn and committed to the Hoops, despite him having the opportunity to the Premier League outfit in a lucrative move.
Turnbull enjoyed a successful breakthrough campaign last season, scoring 15 goals for Motherwell.
Daniel Farke will now be forced to look into other options as he looks to strengthen his side ahead of their return to the top flight.
