Bournemouth set to make move for Norwich target Phillips

Eddie Howe’s Bournemouth are the latest side to show an interest in Leeds United midfielder Kalvin Phillips, according to Football Insider.

Phillips’ future remains in doubt following Leeds’ failure to win promotion to the Premier League.

The 23-year-old enjoyed a successful season with the Whites, proving to be a key part of Marcelo Bielsa’s side where he featured 44 times.

Coming through Leeds’ academy, they now face the challenge of keeping hold of the midfielder who is also attracting interest from Aston Villa and Southampton.

Howe, in previous windows, has looked to sign up and coming Championship stars such as former Sheffield United midfielder David Brooks who has been a key part of Bournemouth’s campaign.

Bournemouth have also recently signed Bristol City youngster Lloyd Kelly for £13 million.

With Howe giving youngsters opportunities, Phillips may opt for a move to the Cherries over a possible switch to Carrow Road.

Daniel Farke’s side have yet to firm up their interest in Phillips with a concrete bid, so if they remain keen on the midfielder, they may want to act fast.
