Manchester City winger Patrick Roberts has agreed to spend next season on loan with Norwich City, according to John Percy of The Telegraph.
Roberts spent a total of two and a half seasons on loan at Celtic from January 2016 to the end of the 2017/18 campaign, scoring 18 goals in 79 games, and there had been some suggestions north of the border that he could rejoin the Scottish champions this summer, but that no longer appears to be the case.
Man City are keen for Roberts to get some much-needed Premier League experience and with a medical completed at the Canaries, it looks like he’ll be getting that experience at Carrow Road.
Roberts spent last season on loan in La Liga with Girona but things didn’t quite go to plan as he featured in just 19 league games. He failed to score a single goal in those games and Girona were ultimately relegated to the Segunda Division.
He’ll be hoping to have a better experience on loan under Daniel Farke in England’s top flight next season.
