Timm Klose pens new Norwich deal

Norwich City have confirmed that Timm Klose has extended his contract at the club.

The Swiss central defender was set to walk away on a free transfer this summer with his existing deal edging closer to its expiration date.

However, the Canaries have moved quickly to ensure that Klose’s short and long-term future will be at Carrow Road, with the experienced centre-back putting pen to paper on a new three-year contract.

The deal will keep the former VfL Wolfsburg defender at Norwich until the summer of 2022, and he will hope to play a part as the club push to consolidate their place in the Premier League again.

Klose was a part of the Norwich team that succumbed to relegation in the 2015/16 season, and despite speculation surrounding his future, stayed put at the club as they spent three campaigns in the Championship.

The Canaries are back in the top flight now, though, and they will hope that the Switzerland international can help steer them to safety.
