Norwich plotting move for Galatasaray striker Mbaye Diagne

Norwich City are reportedly planning a summer move for Galatasaray striker Mbaye Diagne, according to Turkish outlet Star.

Daniel Farke is keen on bolstering his squad over the summer after Norwich secured the Championship title with a 2-1 win against Aston Villa on the final day of the season.

The report suggests that the Canaries are keen on the striker who currently tops the Super Lig goalscoring charts this season.

The 27-year-old joined Galatasaray for €10 million at the end of January after netting 20 times for Kasimpasa earlier this season.

The Senegalese international has continued his good form with his new club, scoring eight times, taking his league total to 28.

Diagne’s total of 28 is 12 more than Besiktas’ Burak Yilmaz, with Galatasaray, Besiktas and Basaksehir all still fighting to become Turkish champions.

Despite Teemu Pukki’s remarkable season for Norwich, Farke will look to bolster his attacking options, with the club unlikely to make Jordan Rhodes’ loan spell at Carrow Road permanent over the summer.
