Norwich City are one of several clubs linked with signing Isaac Hayden this summer, according to the Telegraph.
The Newcastle United midfielder is expected to leave St James’ Park at the end of the season, with the 24-year-old “determined” that Sunday’s clash with Fulham will be his last game for the club.
Hayden tried to move last summer for family reasons, but stayed in Newcastle for another year.
Having been a fringe player during the early part of this season, he has become a key man as the campaign has progressed.
That hasn’t changed Hayden’s stance, however, and a fresh challenge is likely to come his way in 2019/20, as long as he gets his wish.
Norwich are mentioned as one of the potential options for the former England U21 midfielder, along with Brighton and West Ham.
Hayden would be a great acquisition for the Canaries as they return to the Premier League, given his quality and knowledge of playing in the top flight.
He would likely cost a minimum of £15million, but it may even be as much as £20million.
