Pukki and Aarons up for Championship awards

Norwich City duo Max Aarons and Teemu Pukki have been named in the shortlists for two Championship end of season awards.

Teemu Pukki is one of three in the shortlist for the Championship Player of the Year award, alongside Sheffield United’s Billy Sharp and Birmingham’s Che Adams.

Pukki is the top goalscorer in the league, as it stands, with 24 goals – two more than Sharp – and has picked up a further nine assists.

Max Aarons, meanwhile, is up for the EFL Young Player of the Year award alongside Luton’s James Justin and Liverpool/Derby’s Harry Wilson.

Aarons made his debut in September against Ipswich and has played every single minute of Norwich’s Championship campaign since.

Both Aarons and Pukki were also named in the official Sky Bet Championship Team of the Season, along with teammate Jamal Lewis.
