Cardiff City boss Neil Warnock has tipped Norwich City to gain promotion to the Premier League, after revealing he believes Daniel Farke has learned how to implement a “Plan B”.
The Bluebirds currently sit 18th in the Premier League table and are attempting to avoid relegation.
After getting his Cardiff side promoted last season, Warnock has revealed he has bee impressed by how Daniel Farke has adapted to the English game, and has tipped the Canaries and his old side Sheffield United to gain promotion to the top flight.
Speaking on TalkSPORT, via the PinkUn, Warnock said:
I like Daniel. I have always like Daniel. I think he is level headed.
Sometimes he doesn’t a plan B, but he has learned a lot in his time and I think they have that now. They have won a few games very scruffily. That is what you have to do.
Chris (Wilder), last year, I thought they were one of the best we played.
He has a way that is very difficult to play against and he has improved the squad. He took (Gary) Madine off us and brought one or two in as well.
I think they will be very difficult to push out of the top two now. Leeds have a bit of a soft belly, defensively, when they are under pressure, in comparison to the other two. But what a club.
They are so desperate to get back in the league.
Warnock’s Cardiff were in a similar position to Farke’s Canaries last season, with many being surprised by the Bluebirds promotion campaign.
The Welsh side gained promotion to the Premier League by finishing in second place, and are now fighting to remain in the top flight.
With a game in hand on Burnley in 17th, Warnock will be hoping that the Bluebirds will not fall back into the Championship yet again at the first time of asking.
