Norwich boss Daniel Farke has praised his side after Saturday’s “huge” victory over Bristol City maintained their two point advantage at the top of the Championship.
The Canaries twice came from behind to win against Lee Johnson’s side in what was another enthralling encounter at Carrow Road this season.
Jamie Paterson gave the Robins the lead early on as Johnson’s men went in search of their eighth consecutive league victory, before Kenny McLean equalised.
City were ahead less than a minute later thanks to a stunning solo goal from Callum O’Dowda, but Norwich completed the turnaround in the second half as McLean grabbed his brace following Ben Godfrey’s equaliser.
And Farke described the win as a “massive” victory following the game.
It is a huge win. We needed to keep the distance between us and them and I just said to the lads now, it’s a massive win.
The Norwich boss continued:
We reacted so well in the second-half. We dominated them and had so many chances. We spoke before the game about playing the game like a final. We knew a win would put us in a brilliant position.
The Canaries remain two points clear at the summit of the Championship with 12 games of the league season remaining.
